Total Maroc’s investigation by the Competition Council weighs down its share price

Total Maroc S.A. “has rejected all complaints in two respective responses sent to the Competition Council”, according to a report by accounting firms EY and Finacs, sent on 27 April to the shareholders of the French oil company’s Moroccan subsidiary. Auditors for the company, which is positioned solely in the downstream part of the oil and gas value chain, warn that an unfavourable outcome to the disputes could have a negative impact on its future financial results and shareholders’ equity.
