To proceed with store openings, some of which under the Carrefour brand, Label’Vie has just raised 600 million Moroccan dirhams (€54.9m). For this bond issue, the company enlisted the law firm Norton Rose Fulbright to handle the legal side, after previously soliciting the same firm for the complete takeover of Compagnie de distribution de Côte d’Ivoire (CDCI), as we reported in September 2019. At that time, Norton was advising Retail Holding, Label’Vie’s holding company, to acquire a business owned by Yasser Ezzedine (Newmont), as well as a business held by the fund manager Amethis.
