“It’s an unprecedented sum for Togo,” François Jacquier, Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Togo, told Jeune Afrique Business+. Two loan agreements were signed on 8 June in Lomé. The first involves a repayable advance of €700,000 to update Lomé’s sanitation master plan. Four studies will cover stormwater drainage, collective sanitation, non-collective sanitation and solid waste management. Identified issues will be the subject of a funding round for several international lenders in the future.
