The refusal of the DR Congolese authorities on 21 June to renew the Lake Albert oil licences of Caprikat and Foxwhelp, belonging to the controversial Dan Gertler, did not go unnoticed. Especially among the leaders of the Franco-British Perenco, owned by the Perrodo family and led by Benoît de la Fouchardière.
