The African Legal Support Facility has since 2019 adopted a framework contract approach for all its procurement procedures. It has already selected 15 international firms and is preparing to do the same at the continental level. In its sights, among others, are lawyers specialising in sovereign debt and distressed debt funds.

The international organisation providing legal support and advice to African states will launch a competition in the coming months to set up a panel of African law firms, which will work with the 15 international firms (known as “Panel A”) already “qualified” after the first call for tenders.
