A new mechanism to support investments in the fight against climate change was launched on 14 April, after months of work by Kristalina Georgieva, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Approved unanimously by the Board – apparently unusual according to a source within the institution – the Resilience and Sustainability Trust (RST) will be operational in principle from 1 May.
