Toyota Ventures backs Brilliant Planet CO2 storage units launching in 2024 in Morocco
The British company recently raised $12 million to set up an algae production plant in the Sahara desert in Akhfenir, a coastal town in southern Morocco.

Construction of the carbon sequestration infrastructure will start in mid-2023, and the unit will be operational in 2024. The 30 ha demonstration unit will be followed by the construction and commissioning of a 1,000 ha commercial production unit in 2025.
