▪ Two Chinese manufacturers have been implicated in the alleged bribery case related to the supply of 1,064 locomotives to South African operator Transnet Freight Rail in 2014.
China North Rail (CNR) and China South Rail (CSR) attempted in September last year to stop the prosecution of the two companies by filing a motion to dismiss the case in the High Court, arguing that Transnet failed to comply with a court order to provide the court with documents in time.
