Tarik El Ouajaji to head AXA Assistance Morocco

Former CEO of SAHAM Assurance, owned by the financial magnate Moulay Hafid Elalamy before the South African behemoth Sanlam took it over in 2018, Mehdi Tazi bought at the end of April 80% of the capital of AXA Assistance Morocco.

This strategic deal, the amount of which remains confidential, means that Mehdi Tazi will control all the African activities of the subsidiary of the French company AXA Partners – apart from those linked to neighbouring Algeria, which has been in a diplomatic crisis with the Kingdom since last year.
