Abdallahi’s Agrineq wins $60 million contract with Sinohydro for Nouadhibou water supply

The Abdallahi family and the Chinese giant already won a €40.5 million water supply project in eastern Mauritania in 2018.

The two firms have signed two major contracts for the project to strengthen the Nouadhibou supply system. The drinking water supply project will allow water extraction from the Boulenouar aquifer in western Mauritania, on the border with Western Sahara. The value of the contract, financed by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (FADES) and the Mauritanian government, is roughly $59 million.
