First Quantum: Baba Salihi, MCM’s new country manager in Mauritania 

Following the amicable settlement of its tax dispute with Nouakchott, MCM, the Mauritanian subsidiary of Canadian copper giant First Quantum, which operates the Akjoujt copper mine, has appointed a new country manager.

Baba Salihi will succeed compatriot Aboubakrine Abderrahamane. He will be based in Nouakchott and will fulfil the administrative director role in government relations.
