The memorandum of understanding signed in Kinshasa on 25 April 2022 in the presence of the Congolese president, Félix Tshisekedi, for the concession of one of the two terminals at the river-sea port of Matadi to the world leader in container shipping, the Swiss Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), in partnership with the Qatari investment fund Maha Capital Partners, is still some way off.
