The union was sealed in October 2019 during a ceremony presided over by President Ali Bongo Ondimba.The French infrastructure specialist Meridiam and Arise – Gagan Gupta‘s pan-African industrial operator – joined forces within the Société Autoroutière du Gabon (SAG) to relaunch the mega road programme, “Transgabonaise”. The construction site, a flagship project of the Presidency, aimed to rehabilitate more than 700 km between Libreville and Franceville, two nerve centres of the Central African country.
