Mediawan Africa, a subsidiary of the group co-founded by Xavier Niel, has acquired 100% of Bernard Azria’s company Côte Ouest, a distributor of audiovisual content in Africa, after more than one and a half years of negotiations.

“The acquisition is for a significant amount, financed by equity, without recourse to debt, with minority support from Canal+ International, which consists mainly in making its catalogue available,” François Thiellet, president of Mediawan Africa, told Africa Business+.
