Mr Torres, a Brazilian engineer, took up his new duties at the head office of Transgabonais (Trans-Gabon Railway) in Owendo on 18 September. His main challenge will be to maintain the delicate balance among all users of the strategic line, which is being increasingly used for freight traffic, without neglecting the interests of passengers.
