Chinese funding for the extension of Kribi (containers)
The extension of the deep-water port in southern Cameroon port is set to go ahead despite phase I struggling to achieve hoped-for results largely as a result of poor hinterland connections.

The cost of the extension works is estimated at CFAfrancs 456.7bn for infrastructure alone, i.e. 40% more than phase I (CFAfrancs 330bn).
