Evicted from Djibouti, DP World is making inroads at Berbera
DP World, which was forced to leave Djibouti without notice, is seeking legal redress and pushing ahead with new business ventures.

Under the name of DP World Berbera, the giant Emirati port operator has owned since 2016 – according to the terms of an agreement finalised in 2017 – the majority share (51%) in the single quay port of Berbera, alongside the self-declared Republic of Somaliland (30%) and Ethiopia Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESL) which acquired a 19% stake in 2018.
