Announced this past year, the partial or total sell-down of Kosmos Energy’s interest in the Greater Tortue field “has been postponed in light of the progress made in exploration in 2019,” Khady Dior Ndiaye told Jeune Afrique Business+. Kosmos Energy’s new Regional Director for West Africa further specified that the US company was behind 2019’s largest offshore gas discovery on the African continent, with Orca-1 off the coast of Mauritania.
