The head of the French Development Agency (AFD) met with his Bretton Woods counterparts to develop a coordinated response to challenges in the Sahel in the context of growing concerns about security in the region.

According to information obtained by Jeune Afrique Business+, Rémy Rioux held talks in Paris on 14 and 15 January with Hafez Ghanem, Vice President of the World Bank for Africa, and Philippe Le Houérou, Chief Executive Office of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
