Trafigura: the new energy team makes its first investment in Africa

Established in November 2019, the energy division of the giant Swiss commodity trading house has acquired 49.9% of the Kita solar power plant project (50MW) in Mali, the largest of its kind in West Africa.

The transaction completed by London-based Pan-African Soleil Holdings (PASH), an investment company specialising in renewable energy and majority owned by Trafigura, is the first acquisition for the Swiss group on the continent in the energy sector.
