Barrick Gold/Tanzania: an oil & gas-inspired production sharing agreement

Following Barrick Gold Corp’s payment of $300 million to the Tanzanian Treasury last October to settle a major tax dispute, an agreement has just been finalised for the mining company’s return to the country.
