Barthélémy Faye accompanies Dakar in its talks with DP World on the Ndayane port

The Franco-Senegalese lawyer is assisting the government on one of Macky Sall’s flagship projects that is part of the Plan for an Emerging Senegal (PES). An agreement with the Emirati operator appears imminent.

According to our sources, lawyers from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Royal Haskoning are advising Dakar on the technical and financial aspects of these discussions. At Cleary Gottlieb, Franco-Senegalese lawyer Barthélémy Faye is spearheading the legal team. A Yale graduate and sovereign debt specialist at the New York firm for the past 12 years, the partner has advised Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal on several bond issues.
