Lebanese national Nabil Boustros (Midis Group) wants bring “large multinational corporations” to Tunisia
The colossal Midis Group, a Lebanese company led by Nabil Boustros and specialised in distribution and IT services in emerging markets, set up operations with great fanfare in Tunisia this month, with the country’s Minister of Industry, Slim Riahi, and several ambassadors in attendance for the inaugural celebrations.

“There are two opportunities to be had in this country. Large multinational corporations tend to set up shop in Morocco, but we need to bring them here. We also need to help Tunisian companies find new markets in Africa at a time when the country is facing a difficult economic situation [Tunisia grew by only 1% in 2019],” explained Anis Abdessalem, CEO of the Midis Group’s local subsidiary Southcomp Distribution Tunisie (SDT), to Jeune Afrique Business+.
