Refocusing on regional investors, Yeelen Financial Fund lowers its target to €65m

Run by Cauris Management, the West African investment vehicle received €12m in funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and has secured various capital commitments from insurance sector companies.

“We voluntarily reduced the size of the fund. We were expecting to receive foreign direct investment, but the trend today is to invest directly in institutions without going through funds like Yeelen. Investors consider the markets to be mature,” Benjamin Kouakou, Associate Director of Cauris Management and Head of the Yeelen Financial Fund, told Jeune Afrique Business+.
