Miro Forestry, headed up by Richard Laing (ex-CDC Group), receives a cheque from the FMO

The logging company, chaired by the former CDC Group director, sets its sights on an income of $100 million over the next five years in West Africa.

On 20 March this year, the Dutch development bank FMO agreed on further support for Miro Forestry & Timber Products, a plantation operator in Ghana and Sierra Leone. The $7 million contribution follows a $1 million grant already made last February, echoing two previous deals that saw two disbursements at the end of 2018 from the Dutch investors amounting to $12.8 million.
