Côte d’Ivoire’s Mayelia Logistics joins forces with France’s Actia Automobile to compete with the Swiss SGS

The Ivorian Automobile Technical Inspection Company (SICTA), a subsidiary of Swiss group SGS, will see its monopoly on technical inspection and vehicle servicing in Côte d’Ivoire take a knock.

The government has granted a fifteen-year licence for the technical inspection of vehicles to Ivorian company Mayelia Logistics & Automobiles, a subsidiary of the Mayelia Participations group founded by Ivorian businessman David Fofana, formerly of Société de Transport Lagunaire (STL/groupe SNEDAI) and SOTRA (Abidjan Transport Company).
