PZ Cussons Nigeria initiates its exit from the food business with the sale of Nutricima to FrieslandCampina

The transaction, whose amount has not been disclosed, will be on the agenda of an extraordinary general meeting of FrieslandCampina WAMCO, the Nigerian subsidiary of the Dutch dairy giant, to be held on 21 April in Lagos, Jeune Afrique Business+ has learned.

“The acquisition will help increase production capacity to meet growing demand for locally manufactured powdered and evaporated milk”, said a spokesperson from FrieslandCampina, a dairy cooperative which has been operating in the country since 1954, particularly via the brands Peak and Three Crowns.
