The companies taking over the Ivorian and Moroccan plantations of Canavèse, currently in receivership
The fruit and vegetable wholesaler Canavèse, based in Aubagne, near Marseille, France, declared itself insolvent on 2 April at the Marseille commercial court, which placed the company in receivership with a six-month observation period.

With 410 employees and €150m in revenue, the family-owned company, founded in 1975 by Gérard Canavèse and his two brothers, has become a victim of the economic crisis provoked by Covid-19, leaving it unable to operate in France’s institutional foodservice sector.
