Aboubakar al Fatih (Scieb) shifts towards ramping up wood industry operations
The discreet Cameroonian forest operator plans to set up a technology park within 10 years in the city of Edea, Cameroon, which will process wood and produce paper pulp, at a project cost of 80 billion CFA francs (€121.2m).

Two years after acquiring Société camerounaise d’industrie et d’exploitation du bois (Scieb) from the Dutch company Wijma, and retrieving along with it a forest management unit (FMU) and a sawmill in Campo, in southern Cameroon, the highly discreet Aboubakar al Fatih has chosen Edea, around 40 kilometres outside Douala, to shift towards industrial operations.
