Jean Emmanuel Foumbi’s ICSID claim against Yaoundé takes a step forward

A panel has just been appointed to the case, where the damages sought are in the region of a billion dollars.

On 25 June, the conflict between Cameroonian-born French entrepreneur Jean Emmanuel Foumbi – Founder and former CEO of Hope Services – and the State of Cameroon took a step closer to resolution, when Washington’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) formally agreed the trio tasked with ruling on the two parties’ liabilities.
