United Marguisa Lines (UML), which has its sights set firmly on Africa, is the result of a merger between Hamburg-based United Heavy Lift (UHL) and Marguisa. UHL is a specialist in the maritime transportation of heavy cargo, with a fleet of vessels capable of lifting up to 900 tonnes. Marguisa, based in Madrid, is a shipping line focused on serving West Africa, particularly Equatorial Guinea, where the Spanish shipowner has been the leader for a quarter of a century.
