There is a new twist in the case concerning the illegal expropriation without compensation of Banque Franco-Tunisienne (BFT), which dates back to 1989. Tunisia, which the ICSID recognised as responsible for the expropriation in July 2017, recently requested mediation from the World Bank (WB) in relation to the case.
