Why Gabonese presidency supports renewal of Eramet CEO Christel Bories
Libreville actively supported the decision on 30 March of the French mining group’s board of directors to renew the mandate of CEO Christel Bories. Eramet is the main shareholder of manganese producter Comilog in Gabon.

“We supported his continued leadership of Eramet. Thanks to it, Comilog was able to reach manganese production records in 2020. And we are very much in favour of the new development projects that it is promoting in Gabon, whether for Comilog or the Setrag rail infrastructure,” a representative of the Gabonese presidency confided with Jeune Afrique Business +. The source indicated that several phone calls had been made in this direction from Libreville.
