Newmont endorses Ahafo North project despite rising costs
The Canadian giant acknowledged inflationary pressure on spending but said it was controlling capital and operating costs.

While Capex forecasts for the new Ahafo North mine were estimated at between $700 million to $800 million in April, it was raised to between $750 million and $850 million in the latest forecasts in July, when the project was approved.
