IamGold’s AGEM Ltd in arbitration against Mali over Sadiola mine 

The Canadian mining company Barbados affiliate has retained Norton Rose in the ICSID proceedings initiated on 20 December.

No information is being released on this case, for which Iamgold Corp has requested absolute confidentiality from its lawyers. However, Africa Business+ has learned that the issue concerns a tax dispute over a small amount of the sale price of the gold mine in southwest Mali.
