Morocco: Somaca factory expansion still on the table
Mohamed Bachiri, the new managing director of Renault Group Morocco, lifts the veil on the car manufacturer’s project in the kingdom.

“The project has been suspended as part of the group’s economy plan. However, as soon as the conditions are met, we can consider resuming the project in consultation with the group and our supervising ministry,” Mohamed Bachiri, director of Renault Group Morocco since 1 December 2021 and general manager of the Renault Tangiers plant, told Africa Business+.
