Kinross CEO Paul Rollinson engages with Mohamed Ould El Ghazouani on IFC local sourcing project
The President and CEO of Kinross is visiting Mauritania and met with President Mohamed Ould El Ghazouani on 10 March to discuss, among other things, the delicate issue of utilising local businesses.

Some 97% of the staff working at Tasiast – the flagship gold mine in the global giant’s portfolio – are Mauritanian. This is partly due to the company’s “Mauritanisation” programme launched in 2016. But the head of state wants to go further in distributing the economic benefits of the giant gold mine company.
