Arbitrators chosen to settle Congo Mining (MHL) versus Congo-Brazzaville dispute
The mining company and the Republic of Congo have been at loggerheads for several months following the expropriation of the British mining company’s title.

The case is progressing towards the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), pushed by the adversaries: the Congolese government of Denis Sassou-Nguesso and the mining company Congo Mining Ltd SARLU, a subsidiary of Midus Holdings Ltd (MHL). Congo Mining operated in the country until its expropriation by presidential decree in June 2021.
