MMG has been positioned at the Kinsevere copper mine in the Haut Katanga province since its acquisition in 2012. The site has been operating since 2007 and has generated 49,070 tonnes of copper cathode, up 2% in 2021 due to a higher grade of ore processed. MMG’s board of directors approved a major development plan in 2022 to extend the life of the mine by at least 13 years, at an investment of between $550 million to $600 million.
