AGL overtakes Gulf competitors at Malindi container terminal in Zanzibar

Africa Global Logistics (formerly Bollore Africa Logistics) is hitting its stride and stepping up investment now that its total takeover by Swiss-Italian shipping line MSC has come into effect.

In Zanzibar, the new entity was recently awarded the contract to operate the Malindi container terminal, following a two-year tendering exercise launched by the local government (Zanzibar Ports Corporation, headed by Nahaat Mahfoud, and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communication and Transport) to decongest the port.
