Gécamines considers building zinc reprocessing plant to extract strategic substances from the Kipushi mine

To gain access to by-products from the Kipushi mine, which Ivanhoe Mines plans to bring on stream in the second quarter of 2024, its minority partner, Gécamines, is studying the possibility of setting up a new facility.
