Estée Lauder’s billionaire heir eyeing the healthcare sector in Africa
Alta Semper, the private equity fund backed by Ronald Lauder, heir to the cosmetics empire, plans to invest $250m in the healthcare and consumer goods sectors in Africa.

According to information gathered by Jeune Afrique Business+, of the total amount to be completed in September 2020 Alta Semper has already received commitments for around $100m. The most recent promise of funds is from International Finance Corporation which has been considering since the end of August a $15m investment in Alta Semper Ilera Fund I, L.P, the fund’s primary vehicle.
