Morocco: Moulay Youssef, cousin of Mohammed VI, sponsors Russian refinery project in Nador
In partnership with Rahal Boulgoute, president of the real estate company Marita Group, Moulay Youssef El Alaoui signed a €2bn memorandum for a refining complex in Nador.

Talk about news that could shake up the tight circle of energy influencers in Morocco. Moulay Youssef El Alaoui, a first cousin of King Mohammed VI, along with his MYA Energy business partner Rahal Boulgoute, recently signed a memorandum of intent with the Russian authorities for an oil refinery in Morocco.
