IHS Towers appoints Jeb Bush
IHS Holding Limited, parent company of IHS Towers, has appointed to its Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Independent Director John Ellis (Jeb) Bush, brother of former U.S. President George W. Bush, former Governor of Florida and candidate for the Republican primary in 2016. Mr. Bush, who no longer holds political office, currently serves as the Chairman of U.S. investment bank Dock Square Capital. He has also acted as a senior adviser for Barclays and a board member of Tenet Healthcare Corp.

The pan-African owner, developer and operator of share telecommunications infrastructure has also appointed another U.S. heavyweight as Non-Executive Independent Director: Nick Land, who was Chairman of E&Y for over a decade before leaving the firm in 2006 to join the boards of giants Royal Dutch Shell, law firm Dentons in Europe and the United Kingdom and telecoms group Vodafone, parent company of Vodacom, one of the African market leaders and the majority shareholder in Kenyan firm Safaricom.
