First Kenyan venture for AIF I (A.P. Moller Capital)
The fund management company is set to buy a diesel-fired power plant in Nairobi, following the unsuccessful buy-out attempt by South African energy group AEP. The Scandinavian firm is planning to invest a total of $200m in Kenya.

“We are about to close the acquisition with IberAfrica,” an internal source at A.P. Moller Capital confirmed to Jeune Afrique Business+. The Danish enterprise is an affiliate of the giant AP Moller Holding which controls shipping firm A.P. Moller-Maersk.
