In choosing to set up its new plant in Monastir industrial park (Neopark) 180 kilometres south of Tunis, Sumitomo was convinced by the arguments and hard work of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia). “We have been following this project since August 2018. We invited Sumitomo executives to visit the country on six occasions to convince them to invest here rather than with our neighbours,” a spokesperson at FIPA-Tunisia explained to Jeune Afrique Business+.
