Olembé Stadium: Benoît Fabre stays put at Magil despite the summons from Piccini

Benoît Fabre, previously Project Control Manager of the Olembé Stadium project in Cameroon for Gruppo Piccini, joined the Canadian rival last month as Project Manager. He is at the heart of the dispute. Jeune Afrique Business+ takes a closer look.

In a summons sent to Magil Construction on 2 December, seen by Jeune Afrique Business+, Piccini ordered the Canadian group “to terminate all contractual relations with Benoît Robert Jacques Fabre regarding the construction project for the Olembé sports complex”. The contract is worth over 160 billion CFA francs ($271m).
