Ghana chooses Transnet for the renovation of the Western Railway Line
The South African transport and infrastructure company has been commissioned to restore the track and train the employees of the Ghanaian public company. It is reportedly hoping for more contracts in the country.

The agreement was signed earlier this month by Transnet and two Ghanaian undertakings – the operator Ghana Railway Company Ltd (GRCL) and Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA) – in the presence of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, who was visiting the country, and his Ghanaian counterpart Nana Akufo-Addo.
