Glencore bolsters its cobalt sales in the DRC with SK Innovation
The giant Swiss trading company has signed a long-term agreement with the Korean firm and consolidates its position in the fluctuating cobalt market.

SK Innovation, South Korea’s leading energy company, committed last month to purchase 30,000 tons of cobalt hydroxide between 2020 and 2025. The group expects to be able to supply nearly 3 million lithium-ion batteries from this strategic component for the production of electric vehicles.
