Wait and see period following a request to form a parliamentary inquiry committee regarding Arise in Mauritania

In late 2018, Arise Mauritania SA was awarded the concession to finance, construct and operate an extension of the Port autonome de Nouakchott for a 25-year period.

In December 2019, 24 members of parliament submitted a proposed resolution concerning the formation of an inquiry committee to look into, among other questions, the conditions under which the port concession was awarded, with the concession requiring a capex of $390m.
